Porsche 911-based Ruf Rt12 S

Nearly half a decade ago, Porsche-specialist tuner launched its 911 Turbo-based Rt 12, which was based on the 997 Porsche 911. The Rt12 managed to blitz even the massively fast Mercedes-Mclaren SLR '722' special edition in a sprint from 0-300km/h, making it one of the fastest production cars in the world. Now, Ruf has decided its time for a refresh. Dubbed as Ruf Rt12 S, this high performance sports car connects high end performance with complete road capability.

Under the hood, power comes from the refined biturbo boxer engine producing 685 hp and a maximal torque of 880 Nm. That’s 35 hp more than the standard Ruf Rt12.

For the exterior, a number of aerodynamic modifications have been made. The exterior is differentiated with the distinctive front and rear fascias, widened rear fenders that house air ducts, a carbon fiber rear spoiler, LED lighting, Ruf CTR 3 mirrors, and 19-inch alloy wheels.

Other upgrades include carbon ceramic brakes, a hydraulically-adjustable suspension system, a variety of custom seats, a new steering wheel and more. A new roll cage is also present to help improve handling.
The Ruf Rt12 S can optionally be delivered with rear-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive. However, the car is not cheap, price is set at close to €255,000 (approximately $362,570).
